Inspired by the late Notorious B.I.G.’s album release of “Ready 2 Die,” the young D.R. from West Philadelphia, PA began crafting hip hop lyrics at 11 years old. Being a product of the streets, D.R.’s hard work and life experiences strengthened his craft and helped create a full library of hit songs.
“I create lyrics with a positive message,” said D.R. “It’s radio friendly, motivational music with a great beat. ‘BiG Money’ is about the drive to want more and live a full lifestyle, succeeding in whatever you do.” D.R. has produced more than 100 songs in his career and performs his music nightly in clubs around the Philadelphia area. D.R. is now working on a collection of music to release on CD, and plans to release the CD in the near future.
The Indie Music Idol contest was created by YoogliMusic.com as an open marketplace for truly independent music artists to upload their music, photos, and videos to compete for the most votes from visitors to the website. Visitors can also learn about current music news and events, as well as purchase music and join a social network of other music enthusiasts. Independent music artists from all genres are invited to join the network and compete for the next Indie Music Idol contest.
